The Hindu Festival of Holi - is a festival of colours. It is celebrated in March to welcome the Spring and to pray for a good harvest & fertility of the land. Experiencing the festivity, liveliness and exuberance that are part of this festival makes the Spring trip to North India unique and special. Visiting the Taj Mahal in Agra, Fatehpur Sikri (the political capital of the Mughals during Emperor Akbar's reign), the old forts and palaces that date back to the early 14th century of Delhi and the more recent architecture of the Rajputs in the desert state of Rajasthan introduces one to the fusion architecture of the Muslim and Hindu eras and much more.
